Migrating from TI WooCommerce Wishlist

A complete, honest walkthrough of moving your customers' wishlists into Wishmio: one click, nothing destroyed, safe to re-run, fully reversible until the moment you choose to deactivate the old plugin.

Prerequisites

Step by step

  1. Open the importer. Go to WooCommerce → Wishmio Import. Wishmio scans for known wishlist data and shows what it found — no configuration, no field mapping.
The Wishmio Import screen in wp-admin listing detected sources — WooCommerce Shopper Lists, YITH Wishlist, TI WooCommerce Wishlist — each with an importable item count and an Import button.
The importer detects TI wishlist data automatically and shows exactly how many items are importable before you commit to anything.
  1. Click Import next to TI WooCommerce Wishlist. The import runs in one request and reports exactly what it did — items imported and lists created.
The Wishmio Import screen showing a success notice reporting the imported item and list counts, with a note that re-running is safe and items never duplicate.
The result, stated precisely: items and lists imported, and a reminder that re-running never duplicates.
  1. Verify (checklist below), then deactivate the TI plugin whenever you're satisfied. Nothing forces the timing — both plugins can coexist during the transition.

What carries over

Two honest limitations. First, guest wishlists can't carry over — anonymous lists live against the old plugin's own browser cookie, which no importer can map to a person. Those shoppers start fresh, and under Wishmio they get a full guest wishlist without an account. Second, imported items land in each customer's default wishlist — per-list organization from the source isn't reconstructed. Customers can re-organize into multiple named lists (free in Wishmio) after the switch.

What to check after

Rollback

The import is copy-only: it writes into Wishmio's own tables and never modifies or deletes the source plugin's data. To roll back at any point, deactivate Wishmio — your previous wishlist setup continues exactly as before. Uninstalling Wishmio removes its tables completely (clean uninstall), leaving no residue.

Switch in an afternoon

The free plugin includes the importer, guest wishlists, sharing, and multiple lists — no trial, no feature timer.
